What Is Cone?

A cone is a three-dimensional shape with a flat circular base that narrows smoothly to a single point called the apex. Its volume is (1/3)πr²h, exactly one-third the volume of a cylinder with the same base and height.

Example

A cone with a radius of 3 and a height of 6 has a volume of (1/3)π(3)²(6) = (1/3)π(54) = 18π ≈ 56.5.
