What Is Midpoint?

The midpoint of two points is the point that sits exactly halfway between them, found by averaging their x-coordinates and averaging their y-coordinates separately. It's the center point of the line segment connecting the two original points.

Example

The midpoint of (2, 4) and (8, 10) is ((2+8)/2, (4+10)/2) = (5, 7).
