What Is Sphere?

A sphere is a three-dimensional shape where every point on its surface sits the same distance (the radius) from a single center point — the 3D equivalent of a circle. Its volume is (4/3)πr³ and its surface area is 4πr².

Example

A sphere with a radius of 3 has a volume of (4/3)π(3)³ = (4/3)π(27) = 36π ≈ 113.1, and a surface area of 4π(3)² = 36π ≈ 113.1.
